- Joe Jancauskas, a professional engineer in solar power projects, is hosting a free seminar on solar power options today, June 20, at 10 a.m. in the Hale Senior Activity Center. Stop by to learn the basics of solar energy and the benefits it offers. You will also learn about the free and simple tools available to figure out if rooftop solar panels would help lower your electric bills. There will be an opportunity for questions at the end. - The City of Dunedin has postponed its dedication of the Time Capsule event to July 11. Those interested can stop by City Hall to watch city officials seal a time capsule for future generations to discover. (City of Dunedin via Facebook)
- Meet Rocky, a 7-year-old pup up for adoption at the SPCA Tampa Bay. According to the shelter, he loves playing with toys, eating snacks, and being told how handsome he is! His adoption fee has been waived. (SPCA Tampa Bay via Facebook)
- The City of Dunedin recently installed a commemorative plaque recognizing Dunedin’s African American citizens who made historic contributions to the community. The plaque is located next to Eli’s BBQ on the Pinellas Trail and is considered a symbol of progress and freedom for all. You can check out a video of the plaque unveiling at the link.
