DUNEDIN, FL - The Sons of the American Revolution Clearwater Chapter held a general membership meeting on January 19th via Zoom. The chapter normally holds meetings every third Wednesday of each month at the Dunedin Country Club at 12:00 noon, except for a Summer break between June to August.

The Clearwater Chapter was planning to hold the January meeting at the Dunedin Golf Club, but was informed by the club that the meeting could not be accommodated due to illnesses in the kitchen staff. Therefore, the January meeting was held via Zoom.

Compatriot Robert Moore read the poem "To A Mouse" composed by Scottish poet Robert Burns, who was born on January 25, 1759. Several Compatriots wore Scottish headdress in honor of the Scottish-American contribution to the cause of American Independence.

Regional Vice President and Chapter Registrar Parks Honeywell gave an overview of his genealogical research and how members can submit supplemental applications. Supplemental applications include additional patriots beyond a member's original patriot submitted for membership.

The Sons of the American Revolution is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to enhancing education, promoting patriotism and preserving American history. Members of the Sons of the American Revolution can trace their lineage to a patriot who supported the cause of American Independence.
