Sons Of The American Revolution Hold November Meeting

The Sons of the American Revolution Clearwater Chapter held its November meeting at the Dunedin Golf Club.

DUNEDIN, FL - The Sons of the American Revolution Clearwater Chapter held an in person General Membership meeting on November 17, 2021 at the Dunedin Golf Club at noon.

The chapter normally holds its meetings every third Wednesday of each month, except for a summer break between June to August. Forty-four members and guests attended the meeting.

Our speaker was Compatriot Robert Moore, a member of the Clearwater Chapter and former President and current Trustee of the Hawaii Society, Sons of the American Revolution. He spoke about the Battle of Pearl Harbor and the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, where he serves on the Board of Directors and is the former Chairman of the Exhibits and Scholarship Education Committees. New officers were elected to serve in 2022. They will be inducted at the next meeting in December.

Treasurer Kevin MacFarland and his wife Lois performed the POW/MIA Table ceremony. Past President Robert Cundiff recited the poem, In Flanders Fields.

Past President Robert Cundiff was presented a Certificate of Appreciation for his work with the State Society Education Committee.

Glenn Humphreys won the 50/50, Lillian Koontz won the gift basket and James Grayshaw won the fish fry dinner certificate.

The Sons of the American Revolution is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to enhancing education, promoting patriotism and preserving American history. Members of the Sons of the American Revolution can trace their lineage to a patriot who supported the cause of American Independence.
