- The City of Dunedin's Sunset Music Series kicks off this Friday, May 5, between 7 and 9 p.m. in Weaver Park! Grab your blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy the sounds of the blues and soul group, The Charlie Morris Band. Watch the sunset from the shoreline during this free event every Friday throughout the month of May. No alcohol or grills are allowed in the park, but concessions will be available. - The City of Dunedin offers swimming lessons for infants and children at the Highlander Pool. Sessions begin May 15 and run throughout the summer. - The Dunedin Public Library is hosting a Taxes in Retirement Seminar today, May 3, for those interested in learning the potential impact taxes have on your retirement income. The seminar will equip guests with the most up-to-date information regarding retirement taxation. Those who attend will be better positioned to develop a successful retirement tax strategy that can potentially safeguard you from over-taxation. - The City of Dunedin shared that due to ongoing labor shortages, residents of Lakewood Estates may experience delays with garbage, recycling, and yard waste collections. While city staff is working longer shifts in an effort to maintain a normal schedule, occasional service interruptions are expected. Residents whose garbage isn't picked up on a scheduled collection day should keep everything outside until it's picked up. (City of Dunedin via Facebook)
- The SPCA Tampa Bay shelter is waiving adoption fees during its “May the Pocket Pets Be With You” adoption event. Adopt any of their pocket pets at no cost, such as small birds, rabbits, and guinea pigs. (WLFA)
