- Dunedin Parks & Rec is offering a Water Safety Instructor Course for anyone 16 years and older interested in becoming certified. Those who complete the course will learn the skills and techniques required to be a Red Cross certified swim teacher. Anyone interested in participating must register by February 16 and pass a pre-course swim test. The test will be held on Saturday, February 19 at 10:00 AM in the Highlander Pool. Upon passing, the course will take place on Saturdays and Sundays between February 26 and March 10 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The course fee is $290 per person. (Press Release Desk)
- A Multiplayer Gaming Night will be held at the MLK Jr. Recreation Center on January 21 for kids ages nine to 14. Kids will participate in tournament-style gaming with prizes offered to the winners. - A free seminar on internet safety will be held at the Hale Senior Activity Center on January 18 at 10:00 AM. Hosted by Deputy Chuck Skipper of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, the seminar will teach attendees how to avoid being hacked and falling for scams. - Dunedin Stirling Soccer Club's U10 team said goodbye to Coach Lasso who is moving to Sweden for a once-in-a-lifetime soccer opportunity.
