These FL Cities Among Most Welcoming U.S. Destinations: Ranking
A new ranking determined which U.S. towns were most welcoming to visitors and new residents. See which FL cities made the list.
FLORIDA — Three Florida cities were recently named among the most welcoming U.S. destinations for visitors and new residents, according to a new ranking and report.
The ranking compiled by U.K.-based electricity price advisor ElectricityPrices.com surveyed 3,700 seasoned travelers to determine the most hospitable destinations across the United States, according to a Bergen Record report.
The ranking sought to highlight the "nation's unsung heroes" where "warmth and friendliness are the cornerstones of the community ... newcomers can expect to be embraced with open arms, and where the essence of hospitality creates unforgettable experiences," a spokesperson told the Record.

Mount Dora, Fernandina Beach and Dunedin all earned a spot on the list of the 150 most welcoming cities, according to the ranking.
Mount Dora in Lake County came in at No. 20. Described as a "relaxing lakefront getaway with a bustling downtown," Mount Dora hosts more than 30 festivals a year and offers plenty of outdoor recreation opportunities.

Following Mount Dora was Nassau County's Fernandina Beach at No. 28 and Dunedin in Pinellas County at No. 113.

- Winterset, Iowa
- Elsah, Illinois
- Fredericksburg, Texas
- Bandon, Oregon
- Milton, Delaware
- Clinton, New Jersey
- Charlevoix, Michigan
- Essex, Connecticut
- Petersburg, Alaska
