Here are the top 3 stories in Dunedin today:
- First Presbyterian Church of Dunedin is hosting a Trunk-or-Treat event on Oct. 28 at 5:30 p.m. Kids under 12 are invited to enjoy an evening of safe trick-or-treating in the church's parking lot. In addition to trunks full of tasty treats, guests will enjoy a special appearance by the famous Witches of Dunedin! (First Presbyterian Church of Dunedin via Facebook)
- Congratulations to Mangos and Marley for serving the Dunedin community for a whole year! When the restaurant first opened its doors, the City of Dunedin featured them in an episode of Made in Dunedin. In the video, owner Nina Johnston shared her story of resilience and hope after battling breast cancer. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month as well as the restaurant's one-year anniversary, the city shared Nina's story again. If you missed it the first time around, be sure to check it out on Facebook! (City of Dunedin via Facebook)
- Reminder: Honeymoon Island Fall Fest is scheduled for this weekend, Oct. 22 and Oct. 23! Stop by to browse various arts and crafts booths, watch demonstrations held by several outdoor exhibitors, and enjoy grub from a handful of food trucks and vendors. Guests can participate in guided beach walks, painting classes, and more! Don't miss live music at 2 p.m. each afternoon and Honeymoon Idol performances on Sunday. The festival is free with the cost of admission to the park. (Friends of the Island Parks)
