Update: Mother, Baby Return Home Safely, Deputies Say

A Dunedin mother and baby reported missing early Saturday returned home unharmed after a 12-hour jaunt to Clearwater Beach, according to deputies.

A Dunedin mother and child returned home safe at around 2 a.m., after they were presumed missing Friday afternoon.

Enkyrosaum Santa-Cruz left her home with her 9-month-old son in a stroller at around 2 p.m. Friday. She told deputies that she spent the day with her son at Clearwater Beach.

Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies had issued a for Santa-Cruz and her son shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday.

The woman's mother saw them leave the home for a walk but told deputies she believed her daughter was only carrying a purse. It was later discovered she had taken items to care for her baby.
