- The 2023 United Faiths Walk of Peace is scheduled for Jan. 29 between 2 and 5 p.m. The walk for peace will begin in Pioneer Park, with stops at the Masjid Al Salaam on New York Avenue and Weaver Park. Once in Weaver Park, a celebration will kick off with live music, a drum circle, and more. According to their website, "The mission of the United Faiths Walk of Peace is to promote peace, justice, and mutual respect by bringing the faith communities of a region together for fellowship, dialogue, and increased knowledge of each other’s faith beliefs." - The City of Dunedin is hosting SHREDFEST 2023 on Jan. 28 at the Achieva Center Court between 8 a.m. and noon. This is a free, easy, drive-through secure paper shredding event for Dunedin residents. Simply place up to five cardboard boxes of documents in your trunk to be shredded and recycled on-site. There's no need to remove staples, rubber bands, or tape. - A free Senior Awareness Fair is scheduled for Jan. 27 between 9 a.m. and noon in the Hale Senior Activity Center. Guests will have the chance to speak with over 50 local vendors providing information on topics such as retirement living, home care, medical equipment, beauty, nutrition, exercise, and legal and financial help. - Reminder: Parks & Rec. is hosting its annual MLK Jr. Celebration this weekend, Jan. 14. The event includes a free Unity Breakfast between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the MLK Jr. Recreation Center, immediately followed by a march to Pioneer Park. - The Dunedin Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Inaugural Cornhole Tournament on Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. at HOB. They're looking for up to 40 teams made up of two people.
