Here are the top 3 stories in Dunedin today:

  1. Two Water Safety Pop Up events will be held this weekend for kids six months and older. Presented by Dunedin Parks & Recreation, participants will receive valuable water safety information, and a free life jacket while supplies last. The first pop up will be held on Friday, March 11 between 3:00 and 6:00 PM at the Dunedin History Museum. It will be followed by a second event on Saturday, March 12 between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM along the Dunedin Causeway. Head to the Dunedin website to learn more and get directions. (Dunedin Gov)
  2. In celebration of International Women's Day, Dunedin High School's 9th and 10th-grade female 3DE students attended a luncheon with two very special guests. Students were joined by Raelani Tichenor, Director of People and Organizational Development for Power Design Construction, and Maggie Haley, Executive Vice President of Operations for Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay. The mission of the lunch was to empower and support the students as they strive to reach their highest potential. Students and guests shared experiences, perspectives, and ideas regarding women in both academic and professional settings. Topics ranged from demonstrating confidence and overcoming obstacles to gauging expectations and finding inspiration. (Facebook)
  3. The 2022 Dunedin Highland Games have been scheduled for Saturday, April 2 between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Pre-sale tickets are now available online and registration for several competitive events ends this week. Those interested in attending can expect Pipe Bands, Highland Dancers, and athletes from around the world. You'll also have the chance to enjoy live music, dancing, traditional Scottish food, and drinks imported from Bonnie Scotland. Check out the event link for more information or to buy tickets. Registration links to each event can be found by clicking the Facebook link. (Facebook | Event)
