Weekend in Dunedin: Starlight Concert, Garage Sale, Barbecue Competition

Starlight Concert Series
- When:Â Friday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m., concessions open at 6 p.m.
- Where:Â Highlander Park, 903 Michigan Blvd., Dunedin
- Why Go? Bring snacks, a blanket and lawn chairs and catch the Betty Fox Band under the stars. This is a the dynamic quartet that “will pull at your heart strings and make you dance," according to organizers.
CPR Class
- When: Saturday, Sept. 21 at 10 a.m.
- Where: Sweet Peas Cafe, 434 Virginia Ln. Dunedin
- Why Go? This is a informal setting class for families who would like to learn adult, child and infant CPR and rescue choking techniques. The class is taught by a retired firefighter. Everyone attending will receive a American Heart Association CPR card. Cost is $30 per person.
Garage Sale & Bake Sale to Benefit the Florida English Bulldog Rescue
- When:Â Saturday, Sept. 21 at 7 a.m.
- Where:Â 1130 West Lotus Drive, Dunedin
- Why Go? Lots of bargains and baked goodies will be available. Proceeds help finance veterinary exams, inoculations, medications and surgeries, as well as the daily feeding and care that our rescued bulldogs need while in the organization's care.
3rd Annual RCS Food Drive
- When: Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21 and 22 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- Where:Â Enchanted Spirits, 712 Broadway, Dunedin
- Why Go? Bring any non-perishable food into the shop on Saturday or Sunday and receive a 20 percent discount on your entire purchase.
Dunedin FireFighters Centennial Celebration
- When: Saturday, Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m
- Where: Edgewater Park, 51 Main St, Dunedin
- Why Go? Support the Firefighter Cancer Support Network and put the best of Dunedin's barbecue to a vote as part of Dunedin Fire Department's big 100-year birthday bash.Â
