4 Fire Rescues Battle Slow-Moving Brush Fire At Brooker Creek Preserve
Fire crews were called to the Brooker Creek Preserve shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday.

EAST LAKE, FL — Crews from East Lake, Oldsmar, Dunedin and Hillsborough fire rescues along with the Florida Division of Forestry are attempting to contain a 1.5-acre brush fire in the 43-acre Brooker Creek Preserve.
East Lake fire crews were called to the preserve at 12:54 p.m. on Sunday after receiving calls of a visible smoke column coming from the nature preserve.
Upon investigation, firefighters discovered a slow moving brush fire.

There are no threats to any structures in the area and no injuries have been reported.
Residents in the surrounding areas will continue to smell smoke which could linger throughout the night but should not be alarmed.
