87-Year-Old Passenger Killed In Oldsmar Crash

Deputies said the 87-year-old man died when the driver attempted to make a left turn from Tampa Road to East Lake Woodlands Parkway.

OLDSMAR, FL — An 87-year-old man is dead following a crash Friday in Oldsmar.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, around 6:30 p.m., a 2005 black Lexus drive by 84-year-old Kay Johnson was making a left-hand turn from Tampa Road to East Lake Woodlands Parkway when a 2019 Toyota Tundra driven by Thomas Siebert, 60, struck the passenger side of the Lexus.

Investigators said the left-turn lane where Johnson was turning did not have a green arrow at the time. Her passenger, Ronald Johnson, died at the scene. Kay Johnson suffered serious injuries.
