Kids Summer Camps are a Budget-Friendly, Convenient Option for Working Parents

The new camp lineup at CSA Palm Harbor is the brainchild of Mathew Eberius, who grew up attending summer camps.

CSA Palm Harbor is offering a new lineup of spring and summer camps that are budget-friendly, convenient for working parents and lots of fun for kids. A warning for parents: the camps are so appealing, kids might want to sign up for every one of them.

The camps are the brainchild of Mathew Eberius, who grew up attending summer camps. Eberius enrolled in his first camp at the age of four and continued attending them throughout his childhood, eventually making camps part of his career.Β

Eberius is the Recreation Specialist and Camp Coordinator at CSA Palm Harbor and is accredited as a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP)Β through the National Recreation and Park Association.Β He's especially proud of the new "Camp Adventures" for kids ages 5 to 12.

"Growing up in the camps in local cities, that's where I got the inspiration for this camp," he said.

Camp Adventures will be held Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Kids will get to experience a wide variety of activities including arts and crafts, dance, fitness, sports and cooking.

"The cool part about Camp Adventures, it's gonna be one of those back-to-basics summer camps. If we want to do Slip n' Slides, we can do Slip n' Slides. When we want to find a cool trip to go on, we'll go on one," said Eberius.

The camp will be hosted by CSA Palm Harbor staff and camp counselors. Weekly rates are $100 for members and $110 for non-members.

CSA Palm Harbor is offering many other full day camps including-

Sports Variety Camp: touches on the basics of many sports from kickball to soccer to football and track. Weekly rates are $125 for members and $135 for non-members.

Kickin' Soccer Camp: learn the basics and tricks and techniques of the game. Weekly rates are $125 for members and $135 for non-members.

Jimmy the Bat Baseball Camp: designed for kids of all ages to experience everything about America's pastime. Kids learn all facets of the game with an emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship. Weekly rates are $125 for members and $135 for non-members.

CSA Palm Harbor also offers a wide variety of mini-camps which are a few hours long. Some of the more unique mini-camps include-
