Lansbrook Road Closure Could Last 2 Weeks

A section of Tarpon Lake Boulevard could be closed for a couple weeks. That's how long it could take crews to dig up and replace a broken sewer pipe.

If you drive in East Lake's Lansbrook subdivision, you've probably come across a stretch of Tarpon Lake Boulevard that's closed.

Detour signs have been placed on Tarpon Lake Boulevard at Aylesford Drive and Lake Front Drive.

It turns out, that section of Tarpon Lake Boulevard could be closed for a couple weeks. That's how long it could take crews to dig up and replace a broken sewer pipe.

The ten-foot-long pipe broke Friday, March 8, according to Jim, who is with Rowland Construction, the company making the repairs.Β 

He says the pipe is buried 20 feet.Β "Fixing the pipe is easy. Getting to it is hard," he said.Β
