Pinellas Deputies Make An Impact On Kids During Community Events
Pinellas County sheriff's deputies participated in National Night Out events and International Walk to School Day.
OLDSMAR, FL — To promote safety for children walking to school, Pinellas County sheriff's deputies and Dunedin Fire Rescue firefighters escorted a large group of children from R.E. Olds Park to Oldsmar Elementary School and Dunedin elementary schools on Wednesday.
The events were part of International Walk to School Day.
Additionally, on Tuesday the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office hosted National Night Out events at Highlander Park in Dunedin and at Seminole City Center in Seminole. Joining the deputies were agency partners, businesses and nonprofit organizations.

Children had their fingerprints taken, explored fire trucks and sheriff's vehicles, and got up close with sheriff's K-9s.
