Woman Killed After Gas Pump Overturns, Catches Fire In East Lake
Troopers said the woman was pumping gas when another driver backed into the fuel pump. The woman was killed when the fuel pump caught fire.

EAST LAKE, FL β A woman pumping gas at a Circle K/Shell service station was killed Wednesday when a driver backed into the fuel pump she was using to pump gas, causing the fuel pump to overturn and erupt into flames.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, just after 2 p.m., a 66-year-old woman from Palm Harbor woman backed her Nissan sedan into a gas pump at the Shell Gas Station at 3470 East Lake Road, north of Tampa Road.
The gas pump overturned and pinned the woman pumping gas against her Honda SUV, which caught fire.

Troopers said the Honda SUV was already engulfed in flames when East Lake, Safety Harbor, Palm Harbor and Oldsmar firefighters arrived on the scene.
The Florida State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the accident. The name of the woman killed has not been released.
