• Flagler Beach, Funky Pelican tentatively agree on lease contract that could last until 2057 (observerlocalnews.com) — Flagler Beach’s City Commission has tentatively extended the Funky Pelican’s lease, potentially keeping the oceanfront restaurant in place through 2057 if planned upgrades are completed. Commissioners want periodic rent renegotiation options to keep terms fair, while the city continues receiving base rent plus a percentage of sales over $1 million, which has already brought in more than $76,000 this year. 
• Clyde Roesch, 1945-2025 (flaglerlive.com) — Flagler Beach holds a special place in the life of longtime area resident Clyde Roesch, where he and his wife Nancy first began their family and where his ashes will later be scattered at the Rocks. The 80-year-old Army veteran, surveyor, and Palm Coast developer is remembered for his calm presence, quiet humor, and deep attentiveness to those he loved.
