5 Things to Know This Weekend: Art Walk, Glass Ornaments, Car Wash

Art Walk: You only have 10 shopping days left until Christmas! Be sure to stop by the Art Walk between 6 and 10 p.m. to see what local vendors and artists have in store. Local shops will be open as well.

Industrial Arts Center: Blow your own glass ornaments this Saturday AND buy a raffle ticket to win a on-of-a-kind sand mold blown vessel by Owen Pach at the Industrial Arts Center. That's right, for $20 you can blow your own ornament. After that, starting at about 7 p.m., Owen and other volunteers will perform a demonstration to show everyone the IAC and raise money for the non-profit. People can buy raffle tickets for $10 for their chance to win a sand mold blown vessel.

Owen Pach Holiday Sale: Owen Pach is hosting his annual Holiday Sale from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. at his gallery and glass studio in the Alley of the Arts, 5437 29th Ave S.

Holiday Decorations Contest: Thinking about entering the city's annual decoration contest? You have until noon on Monday to enter! Print the application from this story and turn it in to the Gulfport Recreation Center or Gulfport City Hall. “Santa and his Elves” will be judging on Monday evening, Dec. 17^th. No one knows what time the big red sleigh will travel through the City of Gulfport, but please be ready by 6:00 p.m.  Deadline to enter the contest is Noon, Monday, Dec. 17^th.  There are two theme categories: general and commercial.
