Happy Thanksgiving! Wahoo, T-Day is here. Did you know, that the modern day traditions we celebrate today can be traced back to 1621? Learn more about the history of Thanksgiving by visiting these sites:

Offices Closed: Remember, several Government offices will be closed today and Friday. Those include:

  • Gulfport City Hall (all city departments)
  • Gulfport Casino Ballroom
  • Gulfport Public Library
  • Gulfport Senior Center

Patrol officers with the Gulfport Police Department and firefighters with the Gulfport Fire Department will work through the holiday.

Looking to Dine Out? There are several restaurants in and near Gulfport that will be open today. La Cote Basque, 3104 Beach Blvd. S. is offering up Virgina baked ham or traditional turkey for $14.95.
