Gulfport Chamber President Lori Rosso announced that the Gulfport Chamber’s Board of Directors voted to expand the Gulfport Chamber’s service area to include Gulfport, South Pasadena and other surrounding South Pinellas County municipalities.
In a corresponding vote, the Board also approved a name change to The Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce.
According to President Rosso, the decision to serve a larger area is the first in a series of steps to provide businesses and professionals in areas of South Pinellas County that have close business ties and serve a mainstream, commercial-residential population. “While tourism forms a base for our economy, we also are the service area for the beaches and lots of residents who live and work in the area,” says President Rosso.
