The folks at SIK promotions tweeted this fantasy photo to preview the Gulfport Garden Art & Faerie Fest.

Happy Earth Day!

The humans at SIK promotions tweeted this magical-looking picture of a woodland fairy to promote next weekend's festival and also to recognize Earth Day today, April 22.

The folk lore of fairies and other other-worldly creatures is the theme of a festival next weekend in Gulfport.

The Garden, Art & Faerie Fest runs from 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday, April 27, at 5501 27th Ave. South. This is the 19th annual Springfest, but this year it is moving to Clymer Park. (See the Gulfport Patch event listing.)

The theme is “Garden Art and Faerie Festival.”  For one day only, the park will be transformed into an “enchanted village” inhabited by costumed faeries, sprites, gnomes, ogres and trolls, according to organizers.
