Gulfport Historical Society Receives Donation

Friends of the Gulfport Groove hosted a "Dance Just For Fun" at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom on Friday, March 1. Dozens of people came out to show off their signature moves and grace on the dance floor.

Organizers presented the Gulfport Historical Society with a $477 donation from the dance during the Tuesday night council meeting.

The Gulfport Historical Society operates the Gulfport Historical Museum at 5301 28th Ave S. The Society and Lynne Brown have written four books about the history of Gulfport with three of the most recent books available in the museum.

If you would like to help the Gulfport Historical Museum, donate in person Mon - Fri between 2 and 4 p.m. and on Saturdays between 10 a.m. and noon or donate online on their website.
