Happy Birthday, Gulfport Patch!

Today – Dec. 22 – marks Gulfport Patch's one-year anniversary. How time flies. I want to thank our readers and Gulfport for such a welcoming reception.

Gulfport Patch readers responded, and have shown over and over again why this is such a dynamic community.

I've had a blast volunteering at events like neighborhood cleanups and The Great American Teach-In at Boca Ciega High School.

I've met a lot of people and become familiar with all of you at fundraisers and festivals, like Gulfport's Get Rescued, Wags N'Whiskers and Geckofest.

None of these wonderful stories could have happened without the conversations, meetings and experiences I've shared with Gulfport residents. Here's to 2012! If you see me around town, stop and say, "Hi."
