Is There a Serial Arsonist in Gulfport?

Thirty suspicious fires in five years. Crime Stoppers of Pinellas County puts out the call for the public to help!

In the past five years more than 30 suspicious overnight fires have been reported in alleyways in Gulfport.

The Gulfport Police Department reports 10 of those fires this year alone. All of the fires are related by location, time of day and method.

Gulfport Police believe the same suspect(s) to be responsible for these suspicious fires.

The police are asking the public by keeping an eye on alley ways and
reporting suspicious persons immediately by contacting dispatch at 582-6177 or
by calling 911 if there is already a fire burning and/or an emergency.

Again, anyone with information that may identify the suspect(s) and wishes to remain anonymous may contact Crime Stoppers of Pinellas County. If your tip leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
