Volunteers Wanted for National Rebuild Day

Three homes in Gulfport will be touched up on the big day. Find out how you can participate this year.

Gulfport resident Dorothy Everett is the widow of an Army veteran and has been dedicated to her job helping low-income children for more than 25 years. Everett has been a Gulfport resident since 1985. Everett has been nominated and selected to receive repairs as part of National Rebuild Day.

On Saturday, April 28, volunteers will help clean up and fix up three homes in need of repair. But, officials need plenty of help.

You can join the Gulfport Teen Council, SO49 and Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay (RTTB). RTTB is a non-profit group that aims to provide home repair services for those in need. From the eldery to the disabled, from military vets to low income homes, RTTB shines a light during some of the darkest hours.
