Senior Follies Western Show Packs Theater
Friday night's Senior Follies Western Show packed the house with a sell out performance. Local talent were able to put their skills to the test in front of a large audience.
It is no mystery that seniors in Gulfport put on some of the best entertainment around. Friday night's western show at the Catherine Hickman Theater did not disappoint. Participants sang and danced their way through the hour long performance.
With a sold out audience, there was not an empty seat in the house.
The crowd cheered and laughed as seniors acted out parts for comical characters like the "Grandpa" (played by Dave O'Brien) and the "Prospector" (played by Lota Wygant).

Full costumes were worn by the cast and an impressive stage set up transformed the theater into a western-style saloon. The show was directed and produced by Cookie McPhee and Dave O'Brien.
Classic tunes like "I Told You So" and "Blue Moon Over Kentucky" were just a couple of the crowd's favorites. Comic relief was also a big hit.

Hosted by the vivacious Jay Wygant, the western show was deemed successful by organizers at the Senior Center.
