• Medic critical, 3 others injured in Fla. ambulance crash (firerescue1.com) — An ambulance transporting a patient from Haines City to Winter Haven Hospital was struck by a speeding pickup at U.S. 27 and State Road 544, leaving four people injured. The patient suffered significant injuries, a medic in the back is in critical condition, and both the ambulance driver and pickup driver are expected to recover as deputies continue investigating the crash.
