• Martin County weighs housing development on land flagged for possible contamination (wqcs.org) — A major luxury housing project on a former flower nursery in Hobe Sound is moving forward under Florida’s brownfield cleanup program, despite concerns about contamination and developer finances. Martin County commissioners unanimously advanced the brownfield designation to a Jan. 6 hearing, where they’ll review more financial documentation before deciding whether the project can proceed.
