• Neighbors say traffic near a Jacksonville Beach private school is putting kids at risk (wokv.com) — Parents and neighbors in a Jacksonville Beach neighborhood say traffic around The Discovery School on South 15th Street has become so congested at dismissal that it’s putting kids in danger. One father describes a near-miss involving his child, while the school and Jacksonville Beach Police Department say staggered schedules and an off-duty officer are in place but concerns persist.
   

• U.S. Navy Blue Angels coming to Jacksonville Beach in 2027 (jaxdailyrecord.com) — Jacksonville Beach residents can look forward to the U.S. Navy Blue Angels headlining the free Jacksonville Sea & Sky Air Show along the Jacksonville Beach coastline on October 23–24, 2027. City and beach officials say they worked to bring the team back after a 2025 cancellation, and fans can also catch them at the NAS Jax Air Show in 2026.
   

• Massive Great White Sharks Tracked Off East Coast (ground.news) — A tagged great white shark named Goodall recently pinged just off Jacksonville Beach, putting a major ocean predator right in our broader backyard. Researchers say several large sharks are clustering nearshore this season as they follow food and warmer waters, and long-term tracking is helping scientists better understand these migration patterns along the entire East Coast.
