University of Florida says it closed on Downtown land for Jacksonville graduate campus (news4jax.com) — Jacksonville’s long-discussed University of Florida graduate campus just took a big step forward, with all six city-owned Downtown properties for the project now closed. The campus will reuse the historic Jacksonville Terminal area, demolish the Prime Osborn center, and bring high-tech graduate programs, research space, and new retail that could reshape LaVilla and the Northbank in coming years.
   

2. Missing Child Alert: 12-Year-Old Man Missing From Jacksonville (bocapost.com) — A Florida Missing Child Alert is active for 12-year-old Isaiah Edwards, last seen near Argyle Forest Boulevard and Staples Mill Drive in Jacksonville and believed to be carrying a black Nike backpack. Jacksonville residents are urged to call the Sheriff’s Office or 911 immediately with any information that could help locate him.
   

3. It's been 70 years since Jacksonville's first and deadliest air disaster involving a commercial airline (news4jax.com) — Jacksonville residents are marking 70 years since Eastern Airlines Flight 642 crashed on the Northside near today’s Jacksonville Zoo, killing 17 but sparing everyone on the ground. 4.
