• FHSAA realignment sees Edgewater jump to state's large class 6A (orlandosentinel.com) — Lake Mary High’s football program, fresh off its 7A state championship, will remain in the top 6A class and share a district with Seminole, Lake Brantley, and Apopka under FHSAA’s new 2026–27 alignment. The realignment also reshuffles many Central Florida schools, with Edgewater voluntarily moving up, Jones facing longer road trips, and several Orange County programs staying independent from the state playoff structure.
