14-Year-Old Boy Shot At Winter Haven Gathering: Police
Winter Haven detectives are asking for the public's help with information about a boy being shot at a Saturday night gathering.
WINTER HAVEN, FL — Detectives are searching for information about a 14-year-old boy shot Saturday night at a gathering in a Winter Haven neighborhood, police said.
Winter Haven police went to a noise complaint in the area of MLK Boulevard and Third Street Northeast at about 9 p.m. when gunshots were heard. When people in the crowd ran, a 14-year-old boy approached officers and told them he had been shot in his armpit. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was last listed in stable condition, authorities said.
