2,353 Child Pornography Charges Filed In Investigation: Sheriff

POLK COUNTY, FL — Thirteen men who are accused of possessing child pornography face a total of 2,353 child pornography charges, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

Monday, deputies arrested the suspects after a month-long undercover investigation called, Operation Guardians of the Innocence VI, Sheriff Grady Judd said.

Detectives found child porn images and videos on electronic devices that belonged to the suspects.

"We are committed to protecting our children from those who possess and distribute child pornography," Sheriff Grady Judd said. "The men arrested in this operation create a market for these kinds of horrific images that are dependent upon the continued sexual abuse and rape of babies and children worldwide. Each time these images and videos are uploaded and shared these children are victimized again and again. I appreciate the hard work our detectives did that was necessary to file these charges."

According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, the men listed below face the following charges:

• Shaun David Bonacci, 43, Davenport, is charged with promoting child pornography and possession of child pornography.
• Henry Dunn, 47, Winter Haven, is charged with enhanced possession of child pornography, promotion of child pornography, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Jonathan Godwin, 20, Winter Haven, is charged with possession of child pornography and promotion of child pornography.
• Silas Toussaint Harris, 27, Lakeland, is charged with enhanced possession of child pornography.
• Christian Martinez-Rivera, 30, Haines City, is charged with possession of child pornography.
• Clifford Wayne Rogers, 40, Bartow, is charged with possession of child pornography, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Robert Thomas Schank, 47, Davenport, is charged with enhanced possession of child pornography.
• Eugene Skaggs, Jr., 28, Polk City, is charged with promotion of child pornography, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Michael Tateishi, 47, Lakeland, is charged with possession of child pornography, possession of cocaine possession of a structure to manufacture drugs, cultivation of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Joquin Trejo, 44, Bartow, Trejo is charged with enhanced possession of child pornography.
• Kevin Scott Woods, 39, Polk City, is charged with enhanced possession of child pornography.
• Eddy Zumeta, Jr., 32, Winter Haven, is charged with enhanced possession of child pornography and promotion of child pornography.
• As previously reported on Nov. 21, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year-old Shawn Fitzgerald, a Lakeland High School teacher on Nov. 20, and charged him with possessing child pornography. Fitzgerald was the varsity soccer coach for Lakeland High School and a Youth Director at First United Methodist Church in Bartow. On Nov. 25, following a forensic search of Fitzgerald’s electronic devices, detectives located another 389 images and videos of children as young as 12 months old being sexually battered. Fitzgerald has been charged with an additional 389 counts of enhanced possession of child pornography. He remains in jail on a $3,985,000 bond ($5,000 per charge).
