This week Polk County has a $5 million Florida Lottery winner and a $1 million winner
A Lakeland man left a local convenience store a millionaire Tuesday after buying a lucky scratch-off game.

POLK COUNTY, FL — Luck is shining on Polk County this week as two residents played the Florida Lottery and became millionaires.
Hugo Franco, 52, of Lakeland won Tuesday after purchasing The Fast Road to $1 million scratch-off game at Lincoln Super Stop, 2103 South Lincoln Ave., Lakeland. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $790,000. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
The first Polk County winner this week was announced Monday by the Florida Lottery.

The $30 game launched in February 2020 and features 155 top prizes of $1,000,000 and over $948 million in cash prizes. The game's overall odds of winning are one-in-2.79.
