Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested After Anonymous Tip: Sheriff
"I'm the one you're looking for," a Winter Haven man wanted for attempted murder told Polk County deputies arresting him.
WINTER HAVEN, FL — A Winter Haven man wanted on several charges, included second-degree attempted murder, was arrested early Saturday morning after an anonymous tip was made to Heartland Crime Stoppers, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Austin Daniel Richardson, 24, was also wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm in a residential area and improper exhbition of a firearm.
The charges stem from a July 29 incident in a neighborhood off Thornhill Road and Spirit Lake Road, the sheriff’s office said.

Following up on the tip, deputies went to a home on Country Place Southwest on Saturday around 1 a.m.
Before arresting him, they spoke with Richardson, who told them, “I’m the one you’re looking for.”

In addition to his Polk County charges, he also has a warrant in Orange County for failure to appear for driving under the influence, PCSO said.
