3-Day Closure Of Old Bartow Lake Wales Road Postponed
The closure is related to the construction of turn lanes and a drainage crossing for the new South Pointe Elementary School in Winter Haven.
BARTOW, FL — A three-day closure of the Old Bartow Lake Wales Road eastbound approach to the roundabout at Rattlesnake Road (County Road 653) scheduled to start Wednesday has been postponed.
The closure is related to the construction of turn lanes and a drainage crossing for the new South Pointe Elementary School in southeastern Winter Haven. A coinciding month-long lane closure of the southbound Rattlesnake Road approach to the roundabout, underway since Monday, June 19, will continue to slow traffic through the roundabout.
Other road construction projects are affecting traffic across Polk County. When encountering work zones, flaggers and detours, motorists should be attentive and always drive with caution.
