7 Lakeland Fire Units Called To Douse Blaze In Community Clubhouse
A Lakeland mobile home community clubhouse was ravaged by fire after an oven was left on Wednesday night.
LAKELAND, FL — Lakeland firefighters said an oven range that was inadvertently left on in the kitchen of the Hickory Hills Manor Mobile Home Community clubhouse has been identified as the cause of a fire that spread throughout the clubhouse.
Around 10 p.m. Wednesday, fire crews were called to a fully involved blaze that broke out in the community's single-story clubhouse at 1601 Josephine St., Lakeland.
In addition to the seven Lakeland fire units that responded to the scene, a Polk County Fire Rescue medic unit was called to the scene.

After conducting an investigation, the Lakeland Fire Department's fire investigator determined that the fire was caused when an oven range in the kitchen was left on. The fire spread through the building and into the attic.
No injuries were reported.
