An 84-year-old Ocala man is dead following a single-car accident at County Line Road and Swindell Road Sunday.
LAKELAND, FL — An 84-year-old Ocala man is dead following a single-car accident at County Line Road and Swindell Road Sunday.
According to Lakeland police, at 3:35 p.m., officers responded to a crash involving a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox that was heading north on County Line Road, approaching the intersection of Swindell Road.
Police said the Equinox hit the curb, struck a stop sign and continued across Swindell Road before leaving the road and striking a tree.

The driver, Byron Ihle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
