LAKELAND, FL — Little acts of kindness have the power to make such huge differences in the lives of those who seem to be carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders.

And sometimes those small, kind gestures can come from an unlikely source — like your local Amazon delivery driver.

For one Florida family, their Amazon delivery driver not only dropped off their packages, he touched their souls in a big way.

On Wednesday, Asani Anderson, who's worked for Amazon for four months, was caught on the Hutson family's home security camera leaving a heartwarming message in chalk on their front doorstep for 8-year-old Aubrey Hope Hutson who is battling stage IV cancer.

"Amazon is praying 4 Aubrey luv you!” the message read.

According to Aubrey's mother, she was home when she saw Anderson take just a few seconds to write those kind words after he noticed several inspirational signs posted around the family's yard. Some of those signs read, "Aubrey will win!" and "Hope for Aubrey!"

"I did cry! The kids were in the pool with my husband. I screamed across the street to him [Asani] and said, 'OMG, you are so amazing thank you!' He said 'no, I’m not amazing. Aubrey is amazing!'" Lyndsi Hutson, Aubrey's mom told Patch.

Last year, Aubrey was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare type of cancer that forms in soft tissue.

Since Aubrey's diagnosis, Anderson has delivered to her home many packages from her Amazon wish list ordered by people to lift her spirits. Through it all, Lyndsi says her daughter has been a fighter, refusing to let cancer steal her joy.

"She’s amazing. She just finished her 77th hard chemo and has radiation rounds 34-44 coming up next week and 6 months of maintenance," Lyndsi said.

According to Anderson, love was his motivation for the message and he hoped it would warm her heart — that it did.

"It means the world to me to know I can shed light into someone's life, and my message to others would be to just put God first in everything you do, and spread love because the world needs it, and it's free to do," he told Patch.

Lyndsi hopes it will inspire others to spread joy and to be kind no matter what.

"It took nothing from Asani but 30 seconds. And look at the avalanche of love that has come from that?" Lyndsi said.

"You never know what someone is going through. If you have the ability to spread kindness, do not hesitate. Do not think for a second that something is too small," she continued. "Write the message, give the compliment, send the $5 gift, buy the coffee for the car behind you. It may seem small to you, but that act may just be what saves someone."

Aubrey's family has started a GoFundMe to help pay for her medical care and alleviate some of the financial burden they face from taking time away from work. To donate, visit this link.
