Auburndale Man Fatally Struck By Truck While Crossing Interstate 4

AUBURNDALE, FL — A 37-year-old Auburndale man died after being struck by a tractor-trailer truck while attempting to cross Interstate 4 near State Road 570 Monday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 3:19 a.m., the pedestrian was standing on the outside shoulder of the interstate when he stepped into the road to cross and was struck by a truck driven by a 39-year-old Palm River man.

The pedestrian died at the scene.
