Walmart Closes Auburndale Location Temporarily
The Walmart in Auburndale has hired a third-party sanitation crew to give the store a thorough cleaning during the COVID-19 surge.

AUBURNDALE, FL — Walmart temporarily closed its Auburndale doors Monday afternoon for a cleaning crew to sanitize the store as COVID-19 cases continue to rise in the Polk County area, a company news release said.
The store, 2120 U.S. Highway 92 West, Auburndale closed at 2 p.m. and will reopen at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Walmart staff said.
The closure allows extra time for a third-party specialist to further sanitize the store, and will also give their associates additional time to restock shelves and prepare the store to once again serve the community, according to its news release.
