Bicyclist Killed Over The Weekend In Polk County: Troopers
The Florida Highway Patrol investigated a fatal wreck early Sunday that killed an Orlando man.
POLK COUNTY, FL — A 31-year-old Orlando man died Sunday morning when a car hit him on State Road 559 in Polk County, a Florida Highway Patrol news release said.
The car, driven by a 26-year-old man of Auburndale, crashed into the bicyclist at 7:09 a.m. as both men went southbound on SR-559 near Sunset Lane, troopers said.
Troopers said a medical examiner pronounced the bicyclist, whose name they will not release, dead at the crash location.
