Body Found In Lake Gibson Identified
A body found in Lake Gibson on Sunday has been positively identified as a 32-year-old Plant City man.

LAKELAND, FL — The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has released the identity of a man whose body was recovered from Lakeland’s Lake Gibson on Sunday. According to the agency, missing boater Cornelius R. Wiggins, 32, was pulled from the water at 6:58 p.m. July 30.
Officials say the accident that led to Wiggins’ death remains under investigation.
Wiggins was reported missing on the lake Saturday evening. He was reportedly onboard a 21-foot boat and jumped off to get a pair of sunglasses that had fallen into the water.

FWC, the sheriff’s office and Lakeland Police Department began looking for the man Saturday night.
