City of Lakeland Seeks Entries for LKLD Design Competition
The winning entry from the community-wide competition will appear on a brand new sign to the East Main Street Design District.

LAKELAND, FL -- The City of Lakeland is looking its community to help create a sign for the East Main Street Design District.
The winning entry for the LKLD Design Competition, open to the residents of greater Lakeland, will have their sign welcoming people to the newest downtown district between Rose Street and Ingraham. It was recently designated with a goal of encouraging economic growth and revitalization.
Entries for the contest must be able to fill an area that is a maximum of 32 square feet, with a minimum height of 10 feet and a maximum height of 16 feet. The aspect ratio for the sign does not matter as much as staying within the designated size parameters.

A variety of combinations for the sign's wording is acceptable, such as East Main Street Design District, Design District, Lakeland Design District, E. Main Design District, etc. E-mail lcra@lakelandgov.net for questions on the wording.
Submissions can be made by both individuals and teams, with a maximum of three entries per individual or team. Submissions will be accepted by e-mail at lcra@lakelandgov.net until Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 5 p.m.

The winner will be notified via e-mail no later than Tuesday, Dec. 15.
