COVID-19 Vaccine Registration Portal Opens For Seniors In Polk

Seniors in Polk County can preregister on the county's health department page for the next available doses of the COVID-19 vaccines.

POLK COUNTY, FL — Registration for the next round of vaccines opened to Polk County residents 65 and over on Thursday, the Polk County Department of Health said.

Seniors who want to receive the vaccine when they are available can preregister on the county health department's website at https://register.polk.health/. Users can create an account and upload their personal information for a future appointment. Answers to frequently asked questions can also be found on the portal.

"This is something we have been developing, but wanted to get right," Polk County Board of County Commissioners Chairman Rick Wilson said. "Relying on the proven technology we used to register Polk's residents for CARES Act funding, we worked with the Florida Department of Health to develop an efficient online system to register the public for the COVID-19 vaccine."
