CSX Railroad To Close Fish Hatchery Road For Crossing Repairs
In the meantime, closures on Hamilton Road to through traffic at Anchuca Drive in South Lakeland is continuing for the next four months.

LAKELAND, FL — CSX Transportation will close Fish Hatchery Road at the rail crossing south of U.S. 92 (East Memorial Boulevard) in the Combee area of Lakeland on Monday morning, May 15, for five days of emergency repairs to correct a track defect.
The crossing and roadway are scheduled to reopen at noon on Saturday, May 20.
During closure, traffic will be briefly detoured along U.S. 92 or County Road 542 (East Main Street) to Reynolds Road to bypass the work zone. Track repairs coincide with an ongoing nighttime Florida Department of Transportation resurfacing project on U.S. 92 (East Memorial Boulevard) within the detour route.

Backups and minor delays are possible, especially during peak travel hours. Drivers are advised to add extra time to trips through the area.
In the meantime, road reconstruction related to a new commercial distribution facility has resulted in closures on Hamilton Road to through traffic at Anchuca Drive in South Lakeland for four months.

While access will be maintained to residences and business along Hamilton Road, traffic is not permitted past Anchuca Road in either direction. Traffic is being detoured at Drane Field Road or Medulla Road westerly to County Line Road to bypass the work zone closure.
