Deputies Seek Identity Of Stranger Seen In Woman's Room: Sheriff

A man awoke a woman staying in a Davenport vacation home by shining a flashlight in her face after he broke in. Cops want to identify him.

DAVENPORT, FL — Deputies are asking the public's help with identifying a man accused of breaking into a Davenport home where a Michigan family vacationed, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

A man woke up a woman shining a flashlight onto her face at about 7 a.m. on April 1. The suspect then took the sheet off the woman and threw it in her face. Afterward, he immediately left the Windsor Island Resort vacation rental in the Four Corners area, authorities said.

No one was injured during the break-in, deputies said.

Deputies described the person as a Black man, between 19-21 years old, about six-foot-three and 160 pounds. The victim told deputies he wore a gray hoodie inside the room where she slept.
