Married Couple Found Dead In Lakeland Home: Police
Detectives with the Lakeland Police Department are investigating a double homicide after a married couple was found dead inside their home.
LAKELAND, FL — A married couple was found dead inside their home in the 100 block of Lake Morton Drive on Tuesday night, the Lakeland Police Department said.
Detectives have identified the victims as David Henderson, 63, and Edith Henderson, 67, formerly Edith Yates, who worked as a commissioner for the city of Lakeland from 2006 to 2018.
The death is being treated as a homicide, according to authorities.

Detectives have begun an investigation of a homicide involving two victims on Tuesday night, the Lakeland Police Department said.
Investigators are in the area near Lake Morton between Mississippi Avenue and Orange Park Avenue searching for evidence and potential witnesses, according to authorities.
At this time, police do not believe there is danger to the local neighborhood.
