Driver Illegally Passes On Polk County Road, Killed In Crash: Deputies

POINCIANA, FL — An illegal traffic pass on Country Club Road in Poinciana Saturday morning became a crash killing a 30-year-old Kissimmee woman, Polk County Sheriff's Office deputies said.

According to authorities, Keishly Malave, 30, sped her vehicle and illegally passed a Nissan Altima just before 10:20 a.m.

Following the passing of the Nissan, Malave clipped the front of the Nissan with her Acura MDX as she tried to get in front of it, deputies said.

Then the Acura hit a concrete light pole, deputies said.

Medical authorities pronounced Malave dead at the crash location Saturday morning, deputies said.
